Emily De Molly – Bright Young Things

Emily de Molly Bright Young Things

This week’s PANZ Challenge theme is Brights! I decided to use one of my favourite glitter toppers – Bright Young Things by Emily de Molly. It contains various sized matte and reflective blue, red and purple hex glitter. I also decided to create a jelly sandwich with the polishes from the OPI NYC Ballet collection. I have the sheer light purple jelly OPI Care To Danse? on my ring finger and the sheer light pink jelly OPI You Callin’ Me A Lyre? on the rest of my fingers. I layered one dabbed coat of Bright Young Things on top of three coats of the OPI polishes and tried to create a gradient glitter look on my ring finger. I also used two coats of Butter London Nail Foundation on my index and middle fingers as a base. This slightly altered the colour of You Callin’ Me A Lyre? to be more yellow-toned in the above photo.

Emily De Molly Bright Young Things Red Blue GlitterI added another two coats of the OPI polishes over the top of Bright Young Things to create the jelly sandwich look above. Bright Young Things had a perfect formula and there was more than enough glitter with each swipe of the brush. The OPI jellies were also able to be applied in thin coats which dried quickly and were streak-free. I’m not sold on the colour of OPI Care To Danse? on my warm asian skintone but I did love the almost-white shade of pink that is OPI You Callin’ Me A Lyre?
