Today’s mani was inspired by chocolate chip cookies and red velvet cupcakes! I used two coats of Gloss ‘n Sparkle Cookie Dough on my index and thumb and topped it up with a coat of Poshe. Doesn’t it just look scrumptious? Cookie Dough is a beige crelly polish with various sized chocolate brown hexes and light brown micro glitter. The micro glitter gives it an interesting subtle sparkle which I wasn’t able to capture accurately in photos. Here’s a macro nail shot of Cookie Dough below.
I also experimented with layering one coat of Zoya Chyna over one coat of Jordana Black as you can see below when compared to the first photo where I didn’t layer it over another colour. I love how layering it over black makes it appear as though there are tiny rubies sparkling out of the darkness. Zoya Chyna has a Pixie Dust textured finish and is a dark red jelly polish loaded with red glitter that requires 2 coats for opaqueness. Chyna was the polish that I got the most compliments on out of all the polishes used in this mani. I personally prefer to top coat Chyna as it gives it an insane sparkle (the photos don’t do it justice!). Zoya Chyna has officially knocked China Glaze Ruby Pumps off its pedestal and become my favourite red jelly glitter polish!
I finished off the mani with 2 coats of Zoya Skylar on the pinky which is a lovely blue creme polish with subtle micro-flakie shimmer that is either gold or silver depending on the lighting. Here’s a small macro shot which shows off the gorgeous micro-flakies!
I bought the Zoyas off mBeautyLounge and Gloss ‘n Sparkle is available at Shoppe Ecclectico and Llarowe for those outside of Australia. Shoppe Ecclectico currently has a 25% off coupon code for Australian indie polishes as part of their moving sale but Cookie Dough is sold out at the moment.
